In regards to careerpathing: I believe that within each one of us lies a desire to do something, that we honestly believe would make ourselves, and everyone around us, a little happier.
I learned this formula from Christian teaching, but I believe it can also be applied as design principles in the form of: Problem, Resolution, Solution.
DESIRE (Problem)
Our desires are our driving force. They reveal the things that matter to us, and the things we want to do.
DESIGN (Resolution)
Our desires reveals our individuality; Our design. Our individual “designs” reveal our strengths, which can then be made stronger with practice, teaching, etc.
DESTINY (Solution)
Our design determines our destiny, the path that will bring us closer to where we want to be.
I’m not a professional career adviser, but I’ve found that this method has helped me immensely over the past few years. The beauty is that it can be applied to pretty much any situation you aren’t satisfied with.
